PRELIMINARY MEETING
During this call, we will dive in to understand wants, needs, lay of the land, and gather all necessary information of the working area. Whether commercial or residential, we would plan a site visit to fully understand the topographic area that we are working with.
What is needed for this: Surveys and deeds for a site visit
Once all of this is compiled and received, a design offer will be sent based on the discussed scope and criteria. Every project is customized based on the client's desires.
MASTER PLANNING
During out master planning, we will define the areas of where the structure will be located on site. We will sort through ideas, styles, environment considerations, earth testing, and gain a full understanding of the terrain that we are working with. The placement of the structure will be decided based on the topographic land dynamic - taking in to high consideration how the surrounding environment and the structure will live together in a space that is tailored to the ideal design. We will evaluate wind, road access, sun, seasons, water, electricity, and the works of the natural surroundings.
FLOOR PLANS
Once the placement and sizing of the structure is agreed to, we will move towards the first round of sketches to get closer to how we will lay out your space.
During this phase, the client will receive two or three options to review and decide on the final concept and development.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Establishing the design features is the fun part! Now that we have secured the lay of the land, understood the layout of the floor plan that we are working with, we will dive into a full design development of the structure in CAD with basic 3D models to provide a visual understanding of the space and structure.
PLAN YOUR BUILD
With a happy architectural plan, we will be able to start thinking about breaking ground. In a consultation session, we will coordinate which materials would be best to utilize for this type of build considering the surrounding atmosphere, what time of year would be best to start, where to sources workers, etc. Marcela will support you to consider options of the best route to break ground and manage construction.
*A design plan with Valerio Architecture includes 3 final revisions with others at additional cost pending customized changes.
